The stunning CLE continues a long Mercedes-Benz tradition of sporty, elegant dream cars, combining the most desirable aspects of the C-Class and E-Class into one iconic new model series. The CLE Coupe introduces a striking exterior design, spacious interior, innovative technology and mild hybrid powertrains.
The all-new CLE Coupe features a powerful, athletic exterior, from the aerodynamic “shark nose” front end to the seamless rear design. The forward-leaning front end with a low-slung hood and unique flat LED headlights lead to a newly designed, three-dimensional chrome grille with a Mercedes-Benz pattern. The rear of the vehicle is highlighted by two-part LED taillights with new contours and three-dimensional light bodies.
The available AMG Line package, standard on the CLE 450 4MATIC, provides an even more dynamic appearance with a unique front bumper featuring sporty air intakes and a chrome trim element, larger front brake discs, an exhaust system with two tailpipe trim elements integrated into the rear bumper, among other equipment. Customers can further personalize the CLE Coupe with the optional Night Package, an array of exterior paints, including four new MANUFAKTUR colors, as well as a variety of wheels in sizes up to 20″.
The new third generation MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system, equipped standard, forms the foundation for an exceptional entertainment experience. A new compatibility layer allows the installation of third-party apps for music streaming, games and more. MBUX also supports the new Routines function, which allows customers to tailor the CLE to their personal habits by automating comfort features.
A Burmester® 3D Surround Sound System with Sound Personalization and Music Streaming is also standard. The system employs 15 high-performance speakers tuned to match the vehicle’s interior, including speakers integrated into the driver seat headrest, as well as a DSP amplifier with a total output of 710 watts – an increase of 120 watts compared to the previous generation system.
Numerous advanced safety assistance systems, including Blind Spot Assist, Adaptive Highbeam Assist, Active Brake Assist and ATTENTION ASSIST®, are among the extensive standard equipment on the CLE Coupe. The optional Driver Assistance Package offers expanded functionality with Active Lane Change Assist, DISTRONIC PLUS® with Steering Assist and Stop & Go Assist, Route-Based Speed Adaptation, in addition to other safety and assistance systems.
